Mental Health Law Program (MHLP) – CLAS
The Mental Health Law Program at Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS) is the main provider of free legal representation for people facing Mental Health Review Board hearings.
- They represent patients at review panel hearings across the entire province.
- Services are confidential and free (subject to basic eligibility).
- They can help prepare your case, gather evidence, and argue for discharge.
How to Access:
- When completing Form 7 (Application for Review Panel Hearing), check the box requesting free legal representation from the MHLP.
- The Mental Health Review Board forwards your request.
